Chelsea coach
Jose Morinho has been sacked due
to poor results recorded in the 2015/2016 English premier league season .Chelsea technical
director Michael Emenalo says the decision to part ways with Jose Mourinho was made to
"protect the interests of the club" and admitted the coach's
relationship with individual players had broken down.
The Portuguese coach left Stamford Bridge on Thursday after a disastrous start to the season that has left the Blues just one point above the relegation places with 16 league games played.
Addressing the decision to remove Mourinho, Emenalo admitted there was "palpable discord" between players and manager but acknowledged it was difficult to dismiss a man who won a Premier League title seven months ago.
