Business activities were yesterday brought to a stand still in South B area in Nairobi, when the city county council officers invaded
the area markets causing business vendors to incur unexpected losses.
The officers were in search of business vendors who escape their constitutional duty of paying taxes.
The county council officers who were in a thorough search of the escaping vendors had four vehicles
full of arrested operators who had not paid taxes, among other irregularities.
Residents allege that,
arresting the business vendors by way of using force or causing chaos in the area is detrimental and unhealthful as it causes tension and a sense of insecurity
within the estate.
The vendors and residents are now requesting the County Government to find an alternative to handle the situation as most of them depend on the small scale businesses as their only source of income.

It's the duty of every kenyan to respect the constitution and play the role of paying taxes... We can never escape the duty which we are called upon to perform
