Police have warned against plans to host a depraved youth party dubbed ‘project x’ after a public uproar.
The party slated for March 12, at an undisclosed location in Nairobi’s Kileleshwa estate, is named after a 2012 Hollywood movie with the same title.
Police spokesperson Charles Owino said that investigations are underway to ascertain what the organizers are up to.
He has warned that police will not allow events where illegalities are committed to take place.
“Our attention has been drawn to the hue and cry over an ongoing advertisement inviting interested youths to attend a party dubbed “Project X’ to be held on 12th March at a venue alleged to be within Kileleshwa, Nairobi County,” reads a statement from the National Police Service.
Posters circulating with appealing coded information targeting youths in the country caused a social media uproar over the nature of activities included on the poster.
“No one goes back home a virgin” and "Old enough to know it's wrong, but young enough not to give a f**k" are some of the phrases on the posters circulating on social media.
