Education Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i has said a committee will be set to harmonize the accreditation of professional and technical programmes in institutions of higher learning.
The Programme Accreditation Consultative Committee (PACC) is assigned to address the conflicts between the engineer’s registration board and the council of legal education over training law and engineering programmes, which have seen professional bodies refusing to approve programmes that universities and colleges offer.
The (PACC) is also to review pending cases surrounding the programmes in light of the changing industry complexities.
