SIMON SANG RE-ELECTED SECRETARY GENERAL OF DOCK WORKERS UNION

Simon Sang is the new Dock Workers Union secretary general after being re-elected for the third term.

In his victory speech yesterday, Sang promised to continue defending workers' rights but not through strikes.

Sang won the polls with a landslide, garnering 2,701 votes against his closest rival Bakari Bweta’s who had 365 votes.
