Police last evening bust a major nerve center of a fake certificate printing syndicate, whipping out fake degree and title deeds in a building in the City Center after raiding their premises at Ndaragwa House, along Mfangano Street in Nairobi, according to area police boss Japheth Koome.
It is alleged that a fake Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) and Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) documents along with crucial documents such as birth certificates, fake police training admission letters, certificates of good conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) and Nairobi City County single business permits at the printing firm were also found.
Koome has now called on employers and other agencies to keep their eyes open during recruitment of staff, by cross-checking with the relevant agencies such as Universities and the Kenya National Examinations Council, adding that people also buy fake police clearance to cover up their criminal records.
