| Accident along Mai-Mahiu highway |

A
fuel tanker burst into flames Tuesday morning along the
Nairobi-Mai Mahiu Highway causing a multiple
vehicle accident.
The horrific
incident involving five other vehicles occurred at a bend
near a historic Catholic church constructed by Italian Prisoners of
War, causing a major traffic snarl up on the busy highway.
Several people
were reported injured with motorists using the road being warned to
be cautious as they approached the area.
The Kenya Red Cross, Narok
response team, arrived at the scene to carry out emergency services and
establish the cause of the fire.
One person was confirmed dead
while three others rushed to Naivasha District Hospital with critical
injuries.
Red
cross stated that the fire had been contained and the road being cleared by
traffic police
