The residents of south B area in Nairobi were today involved in a run and stone throw battle with the city council. The city council poses as a threat especially to Business operators of south B.
Reports have it that the city council issued an order that all business operators operating on the corridors of south B should clear the corridors commencing today 30th September 2014.

The south B residents expressed their   resentments at council officers since most of them depend on their businesses to earn a living. Today at 11a.m the city council kept their word and stormed the streets and injured one Matatu conductor. The angry residents tried to confront them but they were quickly dispersed by tear gas.

The city council torched one hotel to which the residents responded quickly to the fire. Later on, the residents could not stomach them anymore and started throwing stones at them. One witness talked to ECN journalists and expressed the inhuman nature of the city council who threw tear gas at a woman with a child.

Once notice of vacation is given, there should be immediate response. however on the other hand the people should be given an alternative source.
