TWO DEAD, THREE INJURED IN MANDERA BUS ATTACK

At least two people have been killed and three others injured after a Mandera bound bus was attacked by gunmen in Elwak area.

According to eye witnesses the bus was sprayed with bullets by people suspected to be Al Shabaab militants.

Kenya Police spokesman, Charles Owino who confirmed the incident however, said that the actual number of casualties and those who could have sustained injuries is still yet to be established.
Owino said they have deployed a massive operation to hunt for the attackers.

Questions have also been raised as to why the driver proceeded without police escort, in an obviously risky area.

This festive season, we really don't need to loose more live like we did last year at a time like this. Security should be beefed up by the government.
