The National Commission for Science,Technology and Innovation
(NACOSTI)chairperson Prof. Njeri Wamae has called for implementation of
Nanotechnology Policies for improved health,food and infrastructural
development.
Speaking today during the Nanotechnology Policy Validation Workshop in
Nairobi,
Prof. Wamae said the commission will partner with both public
and private organizations for effective implementation of its
objectives.
She however remained optimistic about the creation of job opportunities
in line with Abuja declaration through the use of Nanotechnology.
The event that was attended by different stakeholders from various
fields including: Research Institutes,Industrialization and health
ministries among others aims at developing new products with lesser use
of raw material and improved technology.
NACOSTI is a certified body originally an arm of the ministry of
Education founded to help in the industrialization of the country as per
vision 2030.
