LUCY MUYA
Today being a Thursday; better known as Throwback Thursday and better off one more day left to the weekend, it dawns on me how relationships; not just the typical boyfriend-girlfriend relationships are important.
It comes down to family, friends and the people who surround you.
Just a week ago our treasured country lost such an adoring and great songstress Achieng Abura.
Many may have known her for her beautiful and touching voice while some may have known her for the calm Judge at the Tusker project fame show years back.
Months back she asked for well wishers to help her fund raise for her son's condition only for a few turn up for the occasion.
It is wrenching to find that at this point people have raised more than two million shillings after her departure and when she was alive not many would have helped her course.
This left me in anger as such instances show how people are when you need them the most and they are no where close to you, but when you are no longer on this earth is when they remark on how great of a person you were and how much you impacted their lives.
The harsh reality is that the people who are there for you through thick and thin are the ones you should keep close in this life thus keeping your circles of friends small to avoid unnecessary disappointments and heartbreaks that you do not deserve.
